Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What if I can’t paint or draw a straight line?
Our instructors will show you step by step how to make your painting look great. You will be amazed at what your painting looks like at the end of the evening.
2. Will the painting be dry enough to take home?
Yes, the acrylic paint dries very quickly on the canvas.
3. Can I deviate from the instructor by using different colors or adding or taking away things from the original painting?
Yes, of course, be creative and have fun.
4. What do I need to bring?
If you would like a beverage or snack while painting, bring whatever you would like. We provide everything else (the canvas, paint, paint brushes, etc…)
5. What do I need to wear?
Wear something you feel comfortable to paint in. We do have some paint shirts you can put over your clothes or if you would like to bring your own paint shirt, feel free to do so.
6. Will there be cups for drinks?
We provide cups, bottle openers and cork screws. Anything else you feel you will need for your beverages and snacks is up to you to bring.
7. Can I book a special event at Swirls?
Yes, we would love for you to book an event at Swirls. Just contact us by email or phone and let us know the date and time and we will work with you to make your event a wonderful one.
8. What if you are closed during the time I need to schedule my event?
Our hours do not apply to special events. We work with you on the time and date that fits your needs.
9. Will you ever do events for kids?
We will do special events for kids. We also plan to have regularly scheduled classes for kids in the future.
10. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, visa and mastercard. You will pay once you get to
Swirls. We do this so that if you register multiple people under your name, each person can still pay separately upon arrival.
11.
Why do you have a 48 hour cancellation policy?
So that everyone gets a chance to sign up for their
favorite paintings. We don't want someone not to get to sign
up because the class is full and then there be 5 empty seats on
the night of the class due to "no-shows". Plus you
know how the saying goes... "the more the
merrier".
12.
Can I get put on a waiting list for a particular class that is
full?
Yes, we do have a waiting list. Just send us an email or
call if a class fills up that you wanted to attend and we will
email you if there are any cancellations.
13.
How do I cancel the spots that I reserved?
Just send an email or call us and let us know how many spots to
cancel. We totally understand that things come up and plans
change. We just require that you cancel at
least 48 hours in advance.
14.
Will you reserve seats so that I can sit with my friends?
We can do that for parties of 4 or more, otherwise seating is
first come first serve.
15.
When do I need to arrive for the class?
We will open 30 minutes before the class starts so that
everyone can be registered to start class on time.
16.
What size is the painting and what type of paint is used?
You will be painting on a 16x20 canvas and you will be using
acrylic paint.
17.
How do I pay for the class?
You will pay for the class upon arrival at Swirls. We
accept cash, check, visa and mastercard.
18.
Why do I need to enter my credit card information when I register
online if I am not paying until I arrive at Swirls?
Entering your credit card information online holds your spot(s)
for that class. The card you enter online will only be
charged if you do not show up for the class. As long as you
cancel 48 hours in advance, your card will not be charged.
Having you pay upon arrival at Swirls offers you the option to pay
with cash, check or credit card. It also allows one person
to sign up multiple people online, but then each person can pay
separately once they are at Swirls.
19.
Do I bring enough refreshments for everyone or just me?
You only bring food for yourself and your group if you are with
one. You are not bringing food for the entire class.
Believe us when we say that you will be so focused and involved in
your painting that the refreshments will take a back seat to your
evening.
20.
Will I have enough room for a lot of refreshments or just a
little?
It will depend on the number of people registered for the
particular night you attend. If we are at full capacity or
close to it, you may want to limit the amount of
refreshments. You are more than welcome to call us and find
out how many people are coming to the class you are
attending. Otherwise, bringing a bag for your goodies to
keep down by your chair is a good way to keep everything compact
and bringing finger type foods in small containers works well
too.
